WHAT DO WE DO?
PARTNER WITH SCHOOLS
We partner with schools to identify underprivileged children to support through teaching, scholarships, after-care programs, and tailor to the school's needs for the upcoming academic year.
We provide scholarships by partnering with other organizations, so underprivileged students can get the education they deserve.
We hold fundraisers so we can raise money to donate to other organizations, public school programs, and towards the underprivileged.
We host donation drives for STEM materials, to potentially provide to schools, and after care programs.
We host workshops where we teach STEM to K-5 students at schools, as well as after-care programs to inculcate a passion in every student.
PROVIDING STEM CENTRAL
We provide a STEM-based hub for students called STEM Central, where students can find resources for themselves. Teachers and school administration are also more involved. Learn more under Teaching.
We want to inculcate a passion for STEM in K-5 students, with focus on the underprivileged. We believe every student deserves the opportunity to soar like a bird, without their limitations of breaking their wings. We do this through partnering with schools, after care programs, and other organizations. In the process, we also tailor to the school's needs in the classroom, as well as making after-care enrichment plans, teaching lessons, and raising funds for other organizations who have the same goals as The S.P.A.R.K.S. Project. Through all of this we meet our mission of Students Providing Awareness and Reach of Knowledge in STEM.
Another goal at The S.P.A.R.K.S. Project is to make education accessible to everyone. Through partnering with schools, and teachers we have our own curriculum for STEM, which is available through certain schools, with remote learning unless otherwise stated. This curriculum has content to satisfy grades K-5. At after-school programs and schools we often do activities related to our curriculum to feed the curiosity of young minds.
We are passionate about making a positive change in our community. We want to unite our community through learning! Everyone can learn at The S.P.A.R.K.S. Project, it doesn't matter your financial status, your academic prowess, your race. At S.P.A.R.K.S. we are ready to work together and be unstoppable!

WHAT ARE PEOPLE SAYING?
2nd Grade Teacher
The S.P.A.R.K.S. team has presented four engaging lessons over Zoom to my class this year. They are diligent in their work, choosing Common Core Standards that align to our curriculum. They are also creative in their lesson development and always make it engaging for my students using online resources such as Peardeck and Kahoot. My students and I look forward to each time that they join us.
